Terms and Conditions
As per the standard proposition, members earn USD125 to USD130 in value for every USD100 when members have their tax refunded to their utu Tax Free Card.
The “additional 10% upsize on the first VAT refund received on utu Tax Free Card” and “1,000 Bonus Etihad Guest Miles” are defined as the “Promotion”.
The Promotion is open to all new and existing Etihad Guest and utu members from 15 April 2023 to 31 May 2023, and this period is defined as the “Promotion Period”.
Members will be eligible to convert their tax refund to Etihad Guest Miles only if:
utu Tax Free Card has been activated
Etihad Guest is selected as the default Refund Method. This means the Etihad Guest account is linked to the utu account - the details entered in the utu Tax Free app must match the Etihad Guest account details
Tax refund has been successfully credited to the utu Tax Free Card that is stated on the tax refund form
The Promotion is not eligible for rewards if used in conjunction with or combined with any other utu promotions.
Following the submission of a conversion request to convert utu Miles to Etihad Guest Miles, it cannot be cancelled, and it cannot be converted back to utu Miles.
Once converted, the expiry and value of the Etihad Guest Miles will be subject to Etihad Guest Miles Rules.
Bonus Etihad Guest Miles will be credited to the member’s Etihad Guest account within 10 working days from the date of successful submission of the transaction.
Members will be notified via the utu Tax Free App once the tax refund has been approved and the Bonus Etihad Guest Miles have been credited to their Etihad Guest account.

Promotion T&Cs – Enjoy an additional 10% upsize on the first VAT refund transaction received on utu Tax Free Card
During the Promotion Period, utu members will be able to earn an additional 10% more Etihad Guest Miles (worth USD135) for their first USD100 tax refunds.
During the Promotion Period, the maximum upsize received by any utu member is 35% of their tax refund amount for their first transaction, regardless of utu membership tier.
The Promotion is redeemable once per member only.

Promotion T&Cs – Get 1,000 Bonus Etihad Guest Miles when over USD500 in VAT refunds is accumulated
During the Promotion Period, utu members will be rewarded with an additional 1,000 Bonus Etihad Guest Miles when they receive USD500 minimum in VAT refund transactions on the utu Tax Free Card.
To qualify for the Promotion, you must have a minimum of USD500 in VAT refunds in one receipt or accumulated within the promotion period.
The Promotion is redeemable once per member only.
